Chat & Craft Group

Craft  ’n’  Chat

Thought of going to a Knit and Natter group but haven’t found one locally,  or would enjoy that sort of a group – but don’t knit?   You have other interests or hobbies?

Every fortnight a growing group of us gather at Stanford Avenue Methodist Church (use main door) between 2 & 4pm for a very friendly time of ‘craft’, chat and a cuppa (biscuits and/or cake available!)   Some come just for the cuppa and natter. And that’s fine. We welcome everyone. Chaps: it’s not just a ‘lady’ thing!!!! If you have a creative hobby that is ‘bringable’, come along.

‘What do I bring?’       Yourself  –  and anything you are interested in or are in midst of!

Some draw or colour-in, some bring lap tops and are engaged in Family Tree exploration. We have knitters, crochet-ers, card makers, embroiderers; we’ve even had an afternoon of folding old hymn books to make angels and hedgehogs! Everyone is willing to help and share so if you want to have a go at something you’re not sure of – come and join us. It’s truly a drop-in so no rigid time, and you don’t have to ‘sign up’.

We’re always delighted to welcome new friends from the local community around the Fiveways and Preston Park area – and indeed from further afield. We are a real mix of abilities and interests.

We meet on alternate Thursdays. So check the Church Diary at http://www.stanfordavenuemeth.co.uk and do pop in if you are interested. We look forward to welcoming you.
